Testing and Psychological Evaluations

Psychological Evaluations are undertaken to assist in treatment planning, to develop educational/learning interventions, and to provide valuable information for making decisions regarding diagnosis or the need for medication. The testing process may include assessment of intellectual functioning, achievement problems, and emotional/personality development. Specialty areas which may be evaluated include:

  • Learning Disabilities
  • Autism (Ages starting 2 and up)
  • ADD/ADHD (Ages starting 3 and up)
  • Personality Disorders
  • Psychological Evaluations
  • Diagnostic Clarification
  • IQ/Intelligence Testing
  • Educational Testing

Please note we do not offer Family Court Evaluations, Neuropsych, or Forensic testing at this time. Our Psychologists are part time and have extremely limited time and full caseloads, and therefore, we are limited and often cannot accept new patients. Availability changes on a day to day basis. Please call our office for more details.

The particular tests required will be determined by the age, circumstances and the referral questions/goals of the evaluation. The psychologist will provide an explanation of the testing process and a complete report of the findings.

Psychological Testing and Evaluation is a complicated and time consuming process. A full Psychological Testing and Evaluation can, on average, range between 8 to 12 hours and depends on the areas of need. If your insurance is not accepted, or does not cover Psychological Testing and Evaluation, the fee for each service noted above is $175/hour.

To become a new patient, please visit our New Patients page and complete the Online Interest Form. Our intake team will be in touch in 24-48 hours. If you have questions about Psychological Testing, feel free to contact us at 804-743-0960, or email us.
