Licensed Clinical Social Worker

“People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don’t find myself saying, ‘Soften the orange a bit on the right-hand corner.’ I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch with awe

Rebekah graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Master of Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia. Rebekah has worked in community mental health and substance use services for over 15 years and has experience working with various mental health disorders to include anxiety, depression, psychotic and mood disorders, and substance use disorders. Rebekah’s approach is strength-based, and she utilizes identified strengths to help individuals live a life where they can thrive while also increasing ones’ capacity for difficult emotions and feelings. Rebekah believes human connection is essential to living a fulfilling life, therefore she utilizes various approaches such as relational therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and aspects of psychodynamic therapy to increase the capacity for human connection as well as build the foundations for functional relationship patterns. Rebekah works with adults, couples, women experiencing postpartum and women challenges, and adolescents and families.

Outside of practicing as a therapist, Rebekah enjoys reading, being outside in nature as much as possible, all things interior design, and spending time with her husband and 5 children, including her most recent addition of identical twin boys.
