What the flower said

to the first human

who tried to name

half of its petals

love-me-nots:

“No, that is not

how anything grows.”

-Andrea Gibson

Rebecca earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from George Mason University with a focus in Consciousness and Transformation and a Master of Science in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. Rebecca has taken a trauma informed approach when working with children, teenagers, and adults in various community mental health settings for over 10 years.

Rebecca is passionate about working with young adults with depression, anxiety, and mood dysregulation or folks who just need support in dealing with the fluctuation and changes life brings.  Her therapeutic framework is largely humanistic, as she hopes to bring awareness and attention to your experiences.  Rebecca is interested in your goals and vision for therapy, and she hopes to offer a supportive and safe space for you to return as you enact these changes.  As needed, she can offer somatic and mindfulness techniques to help aid in regulating your nervous system.  Rebecca continues to advocate and provide a safe space for LGBTQIA, POC and people of lower economic backgrounds.
