Michael is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with years of experience providing therapeutic skills and strategies to the clients with whom he collaborates. He has helped adolescents and adults with a variety of concerns, including: anxiety, depression, grief, substance abuse, trauma and more.
Michael earned his Master’s degree in Social Work from Florida State University and a Master’s Degree in Education from Dowling College. He has worked in schools, residential, community-based and private practice settings. Michael uses a client-centered approach to treatment with the goal of giving people greater control over their own lives. He provides individual guidance stemming from knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma informed care and stress management skills.
Michael believes that all people can benefit from knowing themselves better because it leads to stability, empowerment and the ability to connect more effectively with others.
