Lindy has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2018. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Virginia Tech and her Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. Lindy has worked in both public and private schools, nonprofits, local government, as an Expert Witness for the Commonwealth Attorney, and in private practice.
Lindy is passionate about working with young children through emerging adults, generally ages 4 to 24. She has a strong desire to support children who have experienced abuse, neglect, and foster care. Lindy is a proud advocate of the LGBTQIA+ community and thinks the coolest person you can be is your authentic self.
Lindy recently became an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider and has experience working with youth diagnosed with high-functioning Autism. Lindy enjoys providing targeted parent coaching to help families navigate our changing world and how technology influences our children. Lindy tends towards process oriented interventions and utilizes bibliotherapy, Child Centered Play Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
In her free time, Lindy enjoys wrangling her three young children, listening to podcasts, reading, and visiting coffee/pastry/book shops with her partner. Lindy also enjoys volunteering and serves as a member of the Board of Young Professionals at Greater Richmond SCAN.
