Licensed Professional Counselor

“Growth is painful. Change is painful. But nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong.” – Mandy Hale

JaLisa A. Jones is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, develop healthier coping strategies, and achieve meaningful personal growth.

JaLisa earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University and her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Throughout her career, she has worked with diverse populations experiencing concerns related to anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, emotional regulation, family conflict, life transitions, self-esteem, trauma, and relationship issues.

Her therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. She primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Christian Counseling for those who desire faith to be incorporated into the counseling process. JaLisa also draws from additional evidence-based modalities when appropriate, recognizing that every individual’s journey is different and requires a personalized approach to healing and growth.

Known for her warm yet direct counseling style, JaLisa creates a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. She strongly believes that accountability is an essential component of growth and encourages clients to actively engage in the therapeutic process as they work toward their goals.

Her mission is to help individuals gain insight, build resilience, strengthen emotional wellness, and create lasting change that positively impacts their lives and relationships.

Outside of her professional work, JaLisa enjoys spending time in the gym, listening to music, reading, writing, eating crabs, and creating meaningful memories with family and friends. Her absolute favorite past-time, is sitting on the porch with a warm cup of coffee.
