Emma is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than ten years of experience in the field. She prides herself in being a practice generalist who enjoys working with children (10+), teens, adults, couples and families. Emma specifically enjoys working with first responders, military service members and their families, as well as those in the general public with trauma and adjustment concerns.

With a background in public service as a first responder, Emma has a Bachelor’s in Social Work and Emergency Health Services from University of Maryland Baltimore County, and a Master’s in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. After working primarily in the medical field, she transitioned to outpatient psychotherapy in the private practice setting in 2018 and quickly found that she enjoyed the clinical diversity private practice provided.

She encourages an evidence-based approach in every day practice and partnership with clients to find the best therapeutic approach. In session she is drawn to utilizing Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused Therapy. She holds certifications in the above-mentioned TF-CBT, as well as in Gottman Therapy, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and Financial Social Work.
