Dr. Moriarty has over 20 year’s experience working with all ages. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma specialist. She has worked with individuals who have experienced sexual trauma, childhood abuse, and Veterans with PTSD. She also has a doctorate in Behavioral Health with a focus on integrated care to work with people from a holistic approach recognizing that medical and mental health can effect one another.
Her career started working with children and adolescents, and expanded to adults and couples therapy. It is her privilege to help keep families together, and to work alongside them as they navigate difficult situations. As a strength-based therapist, she is always seeking what people do well which often gets lost in the busy lives of today’s families. Dr. Moriarty also works with mood disorders, depression, anxiety and on improving self-esteem. She enjoys working with adolescents from age 12-18 to help the transition of middle and high school, while encouraging parents as they sort out the often confusing emotions that present in adolescence.
Dr. Moriarty was a military wife, and has lived all over the country and oversees. This has assisted her in learning about different cultures and communities. She is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She is currently taking new clients and looks forward to meeting you.
