Emily Jackson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 7 years of experience providing counseling services in the state of Virginia. She completed both her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has experience working in a variety of clinical treatment settings including acute inpatient, community-based services, and traditional outpatient clinics.
Emily works with adolescents, young adults, adults, and families with a variety of clinical issues to include anxiety, depression, communication, conflict resolution, interpersonal relationships, personality disorders, trauma, self-esteem, substance use disorders, and suicidal ideation. She integrates many treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques, motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy, and solution-focused therapy treatment modalities.
Emily has the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with her clients to achieve goals successfully. She has developed a strong passion for utilizing strengths as a way to cultivate personal growth with her clients. She believes every individual is capable of living a satisfactory life if they have a willingness to make fulfilling changes.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys live music, cooking, thrifting, shelling, Barre exercise and spending time with loved ones.
