Laurie Lebold is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1990 and her Master’s of Education in Counseling in 1993, both from Virginia Commonwealth University. She worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for 20 years at the Virginia Department of Aging and Rehabilitative Services, serving individuals who had various emotional, physical, and learning disabilities. Ms. Lebold works with adults, seniors, and couples. She uses a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy infused with aspects of Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Reality Therapy. Together we can explore how to strengthen your coping style, look for blind spots in problem solving, and enhance your ability to dig in and find alternative pathways over those that have been unfruitful in the past. Currently, Mrs. Lebold addresses issues such as AD/HD, anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, anger management, loss of a spouse, transitions such as the empty nest, launching adult children, health and disability issues, retirement, and job change or loss. Mrs. Lebold also offers Christian-Based Counseling and Pre-Marital Counseling.
