Dr. Tate is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who earned her Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Counseling Psychology. She has worked with adolescents and adults in outpatient, inpatient psychiatric hospital settings, and correctional settings. Her diverse training experiences have provided her the opportunity to work with individuals of various ages, backgrounds, and presenting challenges. She currently offers adolescent and adult psychological assessment/evaluation and therapy services. Dr. Tate is trained as a generalist, however, has particular interests working with depression, anxiety, severe mental illness and psychosis, race-related/multicultural challenges, LGBTQ+ affirming care, trauma, personality dysfunction, anger management, gender identity and socialization, substance abuse, grief, and career and vocational counseling. At this time, Dr. Tate is only accepting Psychological Testing new patients at this time. She is not accepting new counseling patients.
Dr. Tate identifies as an integrationist who draws primarily from cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, solution focused, strength based, multicultural-feminist, and interpersonal frameworks, while also tailoring the approach to each client to best suit their needs. With all clients she strives to create a safe environment through a genuine therapeutic relationship rooted in trust and authenticity. She believes everyone deserves a safe space to heal and grow with the goal to live as freely and authentically as possible.
Dr. Tate is a member of the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.
