I believe in guiding and encouraging people to become their true selves. Healing and growth that promotes a healthy and productive lifestyle is crucial. I have over 30 years of experience as a therapist. I earned my Bachelor of Arts from East Carolina University in Psychology and my Master of Science degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. Licensed in the State of Virginia, I have a work history in several outpatient, inpatient, and residential treatment settings. My approach is eclectic and incorporates solution focused, cognitive behavioral and reality based therapies. I provide individual, marital/couples, and family therapy to children, teens and adults. I specialize in depression, anxiety, sexual and physical abuse, trauma, PTSD, recovery from substance abuse, codependency, eating disorders, Christian counseling, and mindfulness. I encourage healthy growth and promote strong recovery in overall mental health.
My other interests include family, friends, and outdoor activities. I love animals and sports. I believe in tending to mind, body and Spirit.
