David obtained his Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in 2010 and his Master's degree in Social Work at VCU in 2012. He has had been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor since 2015. In his clinical practice, David has worked with children, adolescents, and adult populations in various treatment settings. Utilizing a warm, compassionate approach in his therapy with clients, David addresses a variety of issues which include stress management, depression, anxiety, anger management, grief and loss, adjustment issues, and substance abuse. Primarily utilizing cognitive-behavioral techniques, David works with clients to recognize their strengths and develop their coping skills to enable them to effectively navigate life's challenges. David also provides Christian counseling services to clients desiring such services.
