Alissa Murray, LCSWLicensed Clinical Social Worker
"In my role as a therapist, I find inspiration each day in the strength and resiliency of the clients with whom I am privileged to work. My role is not to judge or direct, but to provide support, introduce new skills, and of er alternative perspectives within the context of a respectful relationship. Working together, we can create meaningful change."
Alissa's approach emphasizes honesty, empathy, and collaboration between client and therapist to identify and achieve personal goals in a nonjudgmental setting. She integrates this philosophy with evidence-based techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Internal Family Systems Model for Therapy. Practicing since 2009, much of her work has focused on treating individuals with trauma and addiction issues. Alissa also has extensive experience working with those who suffer from mood disorders like anxiety and depression, adolescents with behavioral issues, and individuals coping with grief, loss, life changes, workplace issues, and interpersonal conflicts.
